Celebrating African Creativity and Collaboration

Painting the Africa We Want

This ambitious initiative spans 56 kilometers, bringing together artistic expressions from each of the 55 African countries and the African diaspora. Each artwork, measuring 56cm by 63cm, symbolizes the dreams, aspirations, and stories of the continent's people.

Afro-Optimism Workshops

These workshops are designed to empower young African artists by providing them with resources, mentorship, and a platform to express their creativity.

Art for Change Campaign

This initiative utilizes art as a tool for social awareness and community engagement. Through collaborative projects, artists engage with local communities to address social issues, share stories, and inspire positive change.

GAAB Africa, or the Great African Art Banner, is a Pan-African initiative that uses visual art to capture and celebrate the rich cultural heritage and modern aspirations of the African continent.
Our mission is to promote Afro-optimism and showcase Africa’s artistic excellence as a tool for cultural diplomacy, unity, and economic growth.

This project is part of GAAB Africa’s vision, creating a 56-km-long art banner featuring contributions from artists across Africa, inspired by the African Union’s Agenda 2063.

Artists can submit their work to the Great African Art Banner by visiting our “Contact Us” page and sharing art that reflects African creativity and aspirations

The banner includes paintings, sculptures, and digital art, all celebrating Africa’s diversity and future-focused aspirations.
